A decorative Art Deco ceiling pendant by the celebrated Finnish designer Lisa Johansson-Pape. This exquisite three-arm fixture features sculptural patinated brass arms each holding a beautifully crafted, mouth-blown opaline glass shade.
The whole structure is elegantly adorned with delicate pressed glass flower decorations on the center of the lamp. Dating to the 1940s, this pendant is a beautiful piece of design history that was used during the war era. Its construction reflects the resourcefulness of the period, contributing to its distinct and authentic patina.
Lisa Johansson-Pape (1907–1989) was a pioneering figure in Scandinavian design, best known for her lighting works that prioritized function without compromising on beauty. She designed for the Stockmann-owned company Orno Oy and was awarded multiple medals for her designs at the Milan Triennials in the 1950s.
