International Buyer FAQ

We regularly work with international clients, including private collectors and interior designers, across Europe, North America, the Middle East, and other regions. Below you’ll find clear answers to common questions about shipping, payments, taxes, returns, and how to place an order from outside Finland.

Do You Ship Internationally?

Yes. We ship worldwide to private collectors, design professionals, and institutions. Our
international shipping is secure, fully insured where applicable, and tailored to the item’s
value and fragility. We work with trusted logistics partners to ensure smooth delivery across
Europe, the US, the Middle East, and beyond.

How Is Shipping Handled?

  • Packaging: All items are professionally packed using high-grade materials.
  • Crating: For furniture, large items, or otherwise when needed we use custom
    wood crating.
  •  Tracking: Every order includes international tracking.
  • Shipping costs are calculated based on item dimensions, destination, and special
    requirements.

Is My Shipment Insured?

For shipments within the European Union (EU), standard insurance protection is included at
no extra cost.
For destinations outside the EU, insurance is available upon request and is added based on
the value and nature of the item. You can ask for an insurance quote when arranging
shipment, and we’ll provide one tailored to your order and destination. This ensures your
design piece can be protected in transit, and we assist with claims if needed once the
insurance is in place.

How Long Does International Delivery Take?

Estimated delivery times:

  • Nordics & EU: 2–6 business days
  • UK: 2–8 business days
  • USA & Canada: 2–14 business days (depending on customs clearance)
  • Middle East & Asia: 2–14 business days (depending on customs clearance)

Delays may occasionally occur due to customs or courier issues, but we provide full support
throughout the process.

What Payment Methods Are Accepted?

We accept the following payment methods:

  • Visa, Mastercard, American Express
  • International bank transfers (IBAN)
  • Invoices can only be issued in EUR.

Do You Offer VAT–Free Purchases for Non–EU Customers?

Our prices do not include VAT. We work under the marginal scheme. If you’re located
outside the EU, please contact us before purchase so we can issue a tax–free invoice and
adjust pricing accordingly.

Can I Reserve a Piece?

Yes. We accept reservations on select pieces. You can request to put an item on hold for up
to 2 weeks at a time.

Can I Source a Piece?

Yes. Many of our clients request pieces that aren’t listed online. If you’re searching for a
particular item or designer (e.g. Paavo Tynell Model 9065), we can help source it through our
Nordic collector and dealer network.

Do You Work with Interior Designers and Trade Professionals?

Absolutely. We work closely with:

Can I Visit Your Showroom or See Items in Person?

Our collection is based in Helsinki, Finland, and can be viewed by private appointment. If
you’re visiting Helsinki, we welcome you to contact us to arrange a viewing.

How Are Items Authenticated?

All our items are carefully selected and vetted. We specialize in original vintage works by
iconic Nordic designers, and we only deal in authentic, high–quality pieces.

  •  When possible, items come with original labels, stamps, or markings.
  •  We document provenance and condition.
  •  Additional images and certificates of authenticity are available upon request.

What Is Your Return Policy?

The Customer has the right to return a product purchased from the Online Store within 14
days of receipt without stating a reason by informing the Company. For further details
regarding the right of return, please refer to Terms & Conditions section no. 12.

If an item is damaged in transit, we will assist in the claims process with the carrier. All
shipments are insured for this reason when coverage is arranged.
We curate timeless design, responsibly sourced, expertly authenticated, and delivered to
your door.

Are Customs Duties or Import Taxes Included?

No, customs duties and taxes are not included in the purchase price unless otherwise
stated. Import fees may be applied by your country upon arrival. We provide all the
necessary export documentation to ensure a smooth customs process.

Can I Request More Photos or a Condition Report?

Yes. We’re happy to send detailed photographs, videos, and condition reports to help you
make an informed decision before purchase. Please reach out and let us know which piece
you’re interested in.
