Heikki Turunen (1937-) was a Finnish lighting designer who began his career at Stockmann-Orno’s design office, as an assistant to head designer Lisa Johansson-Pape. Soon, he had the opportunity to create his own lighting designs, leading to a 38-year tenure as the chief designer at Stockmann-Orno and work at Thorn Lighting Oy, where he focused on product development and visual branding. His designs, known for harmoniously combining light, color, and form while considering technical lighting aspects, include notable models like Reflex, Efekti, and the iconic La Boheme table lamp.
