Maria Lindeman Pendant Model 51185 MS in Blue & Brass, Idman 1950s

Ceiling lamp model 51185 MS designed by Maria Lindeman and manufactured by Idman Oy in Finland in The 1950s. A beautiful and distinct minimalist geometric design featuring a cone “magician hat” brass and blue metal reflector. The lamp is in its original condition and original blue colour.

Maria Lindeman took part in a competition of lighting fixtures, announced by the Idman company. This competition resulted in a full-time job as Idman’s artistic designer. Lindeman’s lighting designs varied to include both modern and classical forms. During the 1950s and 1960s Lindeman became one of the voices in constructing Finnish modernism, a participating member in the formulation of the Golden Age of Finnish design
