A distinctive three-light ceiling pendant by G. Holman from the 1960s, combining copper, brass, black metal, and hand-painted opaline glass. Its sweeping arms and outward-facing shades create an almost futuristic silhouette, softened by three slender, leaf-like copper ornaments rising from the central body. This unexpected meeting of organic decoration and modern construction comes together beautifully.
The white opaline glass shades feature elongated, gold-toned painted motifs that echo the pointed copper leaves. Black metal shade holders and a matching central cup provide a crisp contrast to the warm metals, while rounded brass fittings add subtle decorative accents. A slender suspension rod and copper canopy complete the balanced composition.
When illuminated, the glass diffuses a warm, welcoming light, highlighting the painted decoration and reflective metal surfaces. A charming focal point for a dining area, bedroom, or entrance hall, with an appealing combination of sculptural form and delicate detail.
The pendant remains in very good vintage condition, with minor wear consistent with age and use. The wiring has been updated. The lamp bears a maker’s stamp, although it is worn and that makes it difficult to photograph clearly.
