Commissioned Paavo Tynell Floor Lamp 9617, Linen, Brass and Rattan Taito, 1950s

84500,00

This exceptionally rare Paavo Tynell floor lamp is a true collector’s piece, never featured in catalogues and produced exclusively by private commission. Designed for a private residence in Jyväskylä, this model is believed to be one of the very few examples ever made.

The floor lamp stands on a beautifully crafted tripod base, combining painted metal and brass, while the stem is wrapped in its original rattan, adding a warm, organic touch. The upper brass section features a noticeably larger joint than standard Tynell floor lamps, further highlighting its unique design. The oversized shade, meticulously renewed on its original frame, enhances the lamp’s elegant proportions and soft illumination.

Accompanied by archival sketches, model numbers, and related design references from the Tynell Archives, this one-of-a-kind commission represents a rare opportunity to own a piece of Scandinavian lighting history, embodying Tynell’s signature craftsmanship and timeless design.
