Itsu Minimalist “Pill” Ceiling Lamp in White Opaline Glass Model AR50, 1950s

An elegant ceiling lamp model AR 50, manufactured by Itsu in Finland in the 1950s. This very minimal design fits easily into any interior. As with a lot of Scandinavian design the beauty of this lamp stems from the simplicity. Nothing extra, only what is necessary, and once again, less is more. In addition to the condition being flawless, the lamp is stamped Itsu at the base.

Itsu was one of the leading lamp manufacturers in Finland during the middle of the 20th century. Along with companies like Taito Oy, Idman and Orno they defined what Finnish design lamps would become.
