Alvar Aalto Armchair Model 401 in Birch and Honey Sheepskin, Artek 1950s

A beautiful original Alvar Aalto armchair model 401, which was first designed in 1933. The 401 chair was part of the iconic Paimio Sanatorium that basically launched the Aalto name to Architect stardom. The chair itself is light and has the Aalto lines synonymous with his designs. A very comfortable yet easily movable chair across any interior. This specific chair has been reupholstered in sheepskin to make it even more comfortable and warm to sit in.
