A very rare Art Deco side table by Mikko Nupponen, Lahti Finland from the 1930s. This beautiful piece from the early functionalist era in Finnish design features a three layered shelf system with a stunning balance in the overall shape eventhough it plays with asymmetry. A similar version with drawers was featured in the book “How to decorate my house” by Arch. Gustaf Strengell from 1933.
The table has a beautiful patina on the paint that can only be created by decades of service and love. The table is light and easily movable and can be basically used in any space from bedrooms to living rooms, entrances to reading rooms. A piece that comes once in a life time with such a beautiful patina.
