A rare and elegant wooden trolley in lacquered beech and rhythmic veneer, manufactured by Asko in Finland for only two years from 1950-1951. The design is a team effort between the world renowned Tapio Wirkkala and Aulis Leinonen, an interior designer in Finland at the time. The trolley has sustained great condition and holds a beautiful patina. It is also stamped with the Asko metal stamp.

About the designer: Tapio Wirkkala has been awarded a great number of Triennale awards, gold medals and special recognitions. He is internationally acclaimed and has used a number of different materials in his designs including glass, wood, plywood, silver and ceramics.
