A fine example of the iconic Jetson lounge chair designed by Bruno Mathsson for DUX, featuring its characteristic sculptural form, chromed steel base, and original black leather upholstery. The chair retains its maker’s label with both Mathsson’s name and DUX, underscoring its authenticity and lineage.

The piece is in good condition and although from the late 90s early 2000’s, it has a lovely vintage feel and patina. The leather is fully intact with natural wear from age and use, including one side that has developed a lighter tone from prolonged exposure to sunlight. This type of patina is typical for original black leather and remains part of the chair’s honest history. Should one prefer a deeper and more uniform tone, the leather can be easily refreshed or re-dyed while preserving the original material.

Bruno Mathsson (1907–1988) was one of Sweden’s most influential modernist designers, celebrated for his pioneering work in ergonomics, bentwood construction, and human-centered seating forms. His designs, from the Jetson to the Pernilla series, blend lightness, comfort, and sculptural clarity, earning him a lasting place in the canon of Scandinavian design.
