An elegant two-light floor lamp by G. Holman from the 1950s, featuring a circular brass base, two slender black metal stems and opaline glass shades with delicate black line decoration. The stems stand at different heights and are connected by a diagonal brass brace, giving the design a simple yet distinctive asymmetrical balance.
Adjustable goosenecks allow each shade to be positioned separately, making the lamp well suited to placement beside a sofa or reading chair. The elongated glass shades soften the light, while their intersecting black lines complement the slim metal framework. Each brass shade holder is fitted with a small switch.
The lamp is in its original condition, with an attractive dark patina on the brass, visible marks, spotting and wear consistent with age and use. The aged finish adds depth and warmth to the contrast between the black stems and white glass. Please refer to the photographs for details. Stamped to the bottom.
A charming floor lamp for a living room, bedroom or reading corner, with a restrained design that works comfortably alongside both vintage and modern furnishings.
At the moment we have also another three light G. Holman floor lamp. Please see photos.
