Hans-Agne Jakobsson White Trumpet Pendant Model T 625 for Markaryd 1970s

1680,00

A minimalist T 625 pendant designed by Hans-Agne Jakobsson and produced by Markaryd during the 1960-70s. The pendant is trumpet shaped with clean defined brass elements holding it and a hard plastic diffuser emphasizing the careful balance of material warmth, soft illumination, and sculptural clarity that Jakobsson worked with. An elegant and simple design that is not working hard to prove itself, rather flowing into any interior integrated in. The height is measured at the current one but can be shortened or lengthened easily by the electric cord.

Hans-Agne Jakobsson (1919–2009) established his company in Markaryd, Sweden in 1951 after earlier working for Carl Malmsten and Werner West. His work quickly became recognized for its atmospheric quality, emphasizing warm diffused light through carefully treated materials such as brass, wood, glass, and textiles. Today Jakobsson’s lighting remains an important part of Scandinavian mid-century design. This example remains in very good vintage condition with a beautiful patina to the brass and well-preserved wooden elements. The canopy has a small hole to the edge that does not affect use.
