Itsu Adjustable Wall Lamp Model EY 56 in White Perforated Metal

2100,00

A rare adjustable mid-century modern wall lamp model EY 56, manufactured by Itsu in Finland in the 1950s. The lamp is meant as a reading lamp above double beds with two adjustable light spots that can be turned in different directions by a goose neck. Of course that being said, it can be creatively used nowadays in different settings as well.

The shades are perforated and give a lovely effect. The lamp is in its original condition and has an absolutely lovely patina. The wall bracket holding the lamp has been renewed. The lamp is stamped by the manufacturer “Itsu”.

Itsu was one of the leading lamp manufacturers in Finland during the middle of the 20th century. Along with companies like Taito Oy, Idman and Orno they defined what Finnish design lamps would become. Itsu made high quality lamps and produced lamps for major projects, including some of Alvar Aalto’s projects like the Aalto University.
