Large Birger Kaipiainen Faience Wall Relief, 9 Women & a Rose, Rörstrand 1950s

A rare and beautiful wall relief featuring different beautifully hand-painted portraits of women, designed by Birger Kaipiainen for Rörstrand and manufactured in Sweden in the 1950s. Kaipiainen spent only 4 years (1954-1958) designing for Rörstrand, a Swedish sister company for the Finnish Arabia Oy were he spent most of his career. This piece is signed “Kaipiainen” & “R, Sweden”.

This piece came to us from the personal collection of Edmundo Diquez C., a very successfull and renowned architect from Venezeula.
