A pair of table lamps model 46-017 in copper, opaline glass and rattan shades, designed by Lisa Johansson-Pape and manufactured by Orno Oy In Finland in the 1960s. This simple yet elegant design is one of the most well known designs from the renowned Lisa Johansson-Pape. A refined functional design, that blends easily into any interior. The lamps are in good vintage condition with patina on the copper parts. The electric wires updated and the wooden slat shades renewed.
Lisa Johansson-Papé (1907-1989) was a Finnish designer best known for her works in lighting. She paid more attention to the function of the lamp firstly, then the design feature secondly. Lisa designed furniture for Stockmann for a number of years, after which she turned her attention to lamps, also at the Stockmann owned company Orno Oy. She won a number of medals for her lighting designs in the Milan Triennials in the 1950s.
