Mid-Century Ceiling pendant in Brass & Amber Glass, Lasipaino Oy, Finland 1950s

A beautiful Finnish modern pendant lamp by Finnish mid-century lighting manufacturers Lasipaino Oy. The lamp has a goregous amber coloured textured glass with a 60cm diamter. The lamp has a brass body and a hard plastic canope. The lamp is in its original condition and stamped by the manufacturer. The overall condition is good.

Lasipaino was a leading industrial glass manufacturer company that has its roots in Rauma since 1948 before it moved to its later form in the industrial area close to Tampere in 1952. The company started off with watch glasses, ashtrays and bent glass for lamp shades before it quickly moved into larger glass objects including lamps and a specialized section for car windshields. The company produced high quality and durable lamps including, ceiling lamps, floor lamps and wall scones.
