A sizable Mid-Century Modern ceiling lamp model 61-368 designed by Lisa Johansson-Pape, and manufactured by Orno in the 1950s. This lamp is of the rarer version in copper and without perforations as the one in the catalogue. It has an acrylic diffuser at the bottom. The lamp is in good original condition with some patina on the brass. Please see pictures. As the lamp hangs by the cord, the height can be easily adjustable.
Lisa Johansson-Pape´s first priority when designing was always about the function of the lamp, then the design. After designing furnitures for Stockmann in the 1930s, she moved to lighting designs also for the Stockmann owned company Orno in the 1940s. Some of her lamp designs are still being manufactured today by Innojok and Keraplast. Lisa won a number of awards for her lighting designs including a gold medal at the 1954 Milan Triennale.
