A somewhat rare Itsu floor lamp featuring an elegant and well-balanced design with two distinct, independently adjustable light heads that can be directed almost freely to suit different needs. The combination of black-painted metal, rattan, leather, and brass details creates a harmonious contrast, giving the lamp a simple yet sophisticated presence. Highly functional in nature, this floor lamp works equally well in private interiors and professional environments, and is suitable for use in living rooms, bedrooms, offices, or reading areas.
The shades are newly made in rattan, carefully executed according to the original model and proportions. The lamp is in good condition with some wear consistent with age and use.
During the mid-20th century, Itsu was among the leading lighting manufacturers in Finland, known for its high-quality production and thoughtful design. The company was a subsidiary of Idman and supplied lighting for major architectural projects, including several by Alvar Aalto, such as the Aalto University.
