Modernist Mauri Almari Cast Brass “Drop” Table Lamps Model 61046, Idman 1950s

A beautiful “drop” table lamp in full brass paired with wooden rattan like slate shade. The lamp was designed by Mauri Almari and manufactured by Idman under model no. 61046. A minimalist organic design sure to comfortably sit in modern and classic interiors alike. This is the larger version of the more common 61033 smaller one. The lamp is made in cast brass and is stamped Idman. Mauri Almari (1907-1973) was a prominent Finnish lighting designer at the Idman factory alongside Paavo Tynell, Gunnel Nyman and Maria Lindeman. He has numerous lamp designs and was the main designer alongside Lindeman after the acquisition of Taito.
