Paavo Tynell Floor Lamp Model K10-10 in Red, Brass and Rattan, Idman 1950s

27360,00

An iconic floor lamp model designed by Paavo Tynell himself for Idman in the 1950s. The lamp has been repainted in red, as we have noticed the increased demand for this color, as an alternative for the black and white versions that are the most frequent colors.
The lamp is otherwise in complete original condition with functioning electricity, and is stamped Idman.
As with many of Tynell´s other lamps, this one has bneen nicknamed the `Nun´s Hat` due to it´s resemblance of one. In our experience, this model is the most wanted from all the floor lamp models regardless of the color.

Paavo Tynell (1890–1973) was a Finnish designer who is well renowned around the world for his incredible lighting fixtures and lamps. Tynell is known as the man who “illuminated Finland” and his works can be found in numerous public offices and buildings such as the Finnish Parliament House and the office of Secretary-General of the United Nations in New York.
