Pair of Bau Flush Mounts model 971-504 in Brass, Klaus Michalik, Orno 1980s

A small pair of modern ceiling lamps / flush mounts, model 971-504, designed by Klaus Michalik and produced by Orno in the 1980s. Compact in scale, these lamps are well suited for hallways, smaller spaces, kitchens, bathrooms, or even used as wall lights.

The lamps are in good vintage condition. We also have another pair available with slightly larger glass shades, listed separately.

Like Lisa Johansson-Papé, Klaus Michalik began his career at Orno after working as a furniture designer for Keravan Puusepäntehdas, also owned by Stockmann. He is best known for his Bau series, inspired by Bauhaus principles of clarity and function — a language clearly present in these lamps that belong to the series.
