Pair of Industrial Style Slated Pendants Model AA 83, Itsu 1950s

5280,00

A pair of Industrial Style and “heavy duty” modern ceiling lamps by the esteemed Finnish manufacturer, Itsu. Their design embraces elegant simplicity, featuring concentric metal circles that cast a soft, diffused glow from the spaces between them orbiting the light source and hanging from a metal central bar. This structure and luminous effect creates a captivating play of light and shadow, characteristic of the best Scandinavian Modern design.

Drawing clear inspiration from Alvar Aalto’s iconic slated lamps, wether ceiling or his other iconic floor lamps, this pair embodies a timeless minimalism and functional modernism. Their versatile and understated elegance makes them suitable for a range of settings—from enhancing the ambiance of a corridor or kitchen to bringing a touch of Mediterranean serenity to a covered terrace. They also take up to 100w lamps and can be used for larger spaces.

The lamps are in their original condition with wear consistent with age and use. The lamps have some heavier patina and rust spots on some parts (please see photos), but that only ads to their charm and authenticity. Both fully stamped by the manufacturer, affirming their provenance. Itsu was one of the leading forces in Finnish lighting design during the mid-20th century, responsible for producing some of Alvar Aalto’s fixtures for several of his major architectural projects. Alongside legendary names like Taito Oy, Idman, and Orno, Itsu helped define the clean, functional, and poetic language of Finnish design that remains so sought-after today.
