A minimalist mid-century Finnish modern table lamp from the 1950s. An elegant and sleek “tripod” design with three bent solid brass legs joined by a central brass cup holding the switch in the center. On the other tips, each hold a glass shade supporting the lights and a wooden slatted shade. The composition is simple yet refined, balancing lightness and structure with timeless ease. It fits effortlessly into a variety of interiors — from classic to modern and everything in between. The brass parts of the lamp remain in their original condition with the original lacquering as well. The shades are of a later date.
We have never seen this design before, but it is quite close to Paavo Tynell’s style, Idman lamps, or even Itsu lamps. Regardless of the designer or manufacturer, the lamp is beautiful and carries all the charm of the era.
