Small Lisa Johansson-Papé Wall Lamp Model 54-425 in White & Acrylic, Orno 1960s

A cute bijou wall lamp by Lisa Johansson-Papé for Orno-Stockmann. The lamp features a stunning minimal design of an L-shaped bent acrylic arm in clear colour adding to the lightness of the lamp. Supporting the light bulb is a white cylinder and it is topped with a remade white shade to compliment the lightness and whitness of the lamp. A perfect piece for smaller spaces or children’s rooms for example. An absolute joy to look at. The lamp carries the label Stockmann Design Lisa Johansson-Papé Made in Finland.

Lisa Johansson-Pape (1907-1989) was a Finnish designer best known for her works in lightings. She paid more attention to the function of the lamp firstly, then the design feature secondly. Lisa designed furniture for Stockmann for a number of years, after which she turned her attention to lamps, also at the Stockmann owned company Orno Oy. She won a number of medals for her lighting designs in the Milan Triennials in the 1950s.
