Large Sculptural Organic Table Lamp in Flame Birch, Finland 1970s

2640,00

A striking sculptural table lamp carved from a single naturally shaped solid flame birch stump, Finland, circa 1970s.
The form feels and is mostly naturally shaped rather than made. An elegant, flowing curve rising from a substantial base and arching gently overhead. Shaped from one continuous piece of wood, the lamp captures the organic movement of the original tree, resulting in a piece that feels both spontaneous and highly refined.
The lower portion is subtly hollowed, forming a shallow bowl that can also be used functionally for keys, coins, or small personal items—adding a thoughtful layer of everyday practicality to its sculptural presence.

The flame birch displays beautiful figuring throughout, with warm honey tones, expressive grain patterns, and natural inclusions that emphasize its unique character. Expertly hand-carved and hollowed, the lamp reflects the spirit of Nordic craftsmanship and 1970s organic modernism.

A highly decorative yet functional object, equally suited as a statement table lamp or ambient accent light in contemporary or mid-century interiors.
