Alvar Aalto 3 Legged Stool Model 60, Beige Linoleum and Black Legs, Artek 1950s

An Artek stool in birch and beige linoleum, designed by Alvar Aalto and retailed by Artek in the 1950s. The model 60 stool is perhaps the most well known Aalto design and has always been attractive to people. As with a lot of Alvar Aalto’s works the beauty comes from the simplicity and functionalism.

The linoleum is in fairly rough condition with the legs painted black at one point. However, the overall impression is very nice and a beautiful piece for those looking for stories and more than normal just pieces of furniture.
