Finnish Design Flush Mount in Brass & Pleated Textile, Aris 1970s

A large and elegant Finnish flush mount ceiling light manufactured by Aris in Finland in the 1970s-80s. This piece is a prime example of mid-century Finnish design that went on for decades due to its popularity and elegance. The lamp features a pleated light fabric shade diffuser in a soft beige colour and topped with a brass cup in the style of Paavo Tynell. The lamp is stamped with the Aris mark, confirming its authentic provenance. The lamp also has a height adjustable mechanism to make it fit seemlesly regardless of the hook size on the roof. The lamp is in beautiful vintage condition. The inside of the was remade as it was removed at one point. The item is fully functional and ready for use.
